October 30 2024:

We had successful outreach yesterday and today in establishing clubs in various schools.

Children Life Support Initiative aims at including all schools so that muliple views may touch every single participant. Our concern: everyone should know that voice is there to be heard. Words are there to be outspoken. And dignity is to be lived.

Article by Jones K. Garbla about one of the most striking issues in unsecure times:

General Survey on the upcoming School Year 2024/25

Due to low funds, we’ve reduced the list. If you have been noticing, the names are added during the course of the year when local donors try to contribute but for now, the 29 students and those we are able to raise funds for in the meantime.

Garden:

We regard gardening as an important contribution to formal education. Obviously many tokens from school knowledge are discovered as valuable personal wealth when it comes to competent acting.

Our students in the Gerlib area will run the project supervised by Varney. All is working for us . Ben is supervising all approaches on a professional pedagigic level . Our new secretary,  Marcus, is more involved together with few others.

Sampson Borley,  our former student has decided to help. He’s now part of those doing the monitoring and supervision of students for this academic year.

Debate, Writing Competition, Radio Show

This part is providing neighborhood and general society social impact. There are few sponsored students linked, but Joe Gbeie, a former student in the project, heads the volonteers who call themselves the Voice of the Voiceless. They were founded in 2020/21 and aim on becoming an indepentent registered non for profit organization in Liberia.

Student Exchange

There are vivid plans to make our transnational plan come true: Two to Four young adults from Germany shall visit From Street to School students and Voice of the Voiceless volonteers in Liberia. They shall spend their leisure time together, inform each other and prepare for more projects that would comprise all our cultures, love and humour. The first Exchange has been run in 2019.

School Year 2023/24

This is what we learnt about ourselves when we reflected on all the small-small misunderstandings in our communications.

We ask ourselves: Do we really know, what our talk is about? Can we explain it in simple language? Are we able to summarize the core point for someone who really doesn’t know anything about most of our premises?

We really ask more questions than we can answer.

And each of us does activly pave her* own way through the jungle of consumers‘ shallowness and poverty.
